Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite DLC fighter trailer released

Not content with having an already boastful battle roster, Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite has released their latest trailer showcasing the three new DLC fighters. All three of them are fan favourites. Welcome to the fighting arena Black Widow, The Winter Soldier, and Venom! I can’t wait to play as all three, with both Black Widow and Winter Soldier making their game debut to the popular fighting series. And of course Venom is back, once again, to inflict some pain. The trailer shows off all three fighter’s battle styles and it looks like it’s going to change up how people arrange their two man teams.

Each character possesses their own unique battle style and it certainly shows in the trailer. A skilled assassin, Winter Soldier is an expert at battling his opponents on the ground and is easily able to debilitate foes. We also see him make use of his cybernetic arm to guard against attacks, including beams and other projectiles, and walk away apparently unscathed. He may have very direct and head on attacks, but there is certainly a great opportunity to punish those players foolish enough not to play it safe.

Black Widow is a speedy combatant who will be very hard to land attacks on as she has the unique ability to perform evasive manoeuvres. Her battle gauntlets will provide her the ability to fire off various projectile weapons, each with their own specific use. Don’t let this fool you however; Natasha Romanov is a close combat specialist so allowing her to get too close will also cost you dearly.

Lastly, Venom returns to the series sporting several of his signature moves, and is just as aggressive a fighter as he always was. Able to fight both at mid and close range, he’ll be a difficult opponent to face, and a valuable ally to those on his side. Venom has also been given a bit of an upgrade in manoeuvrability with his Venom Glide, a technique that allows him to zip across the stage with six different options. It certainly was high time to bring this Symbiote fiend back into the Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite fold.

Black Widow, Venom, and The Winter Soldier will be available for download on the 5th of December for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC if you have purchased their character pass. Also, for those who have been considering playing the game, Capcom is hosting a free demo period for PlayStation Plus members running from Friday, Nov 24 at 8am PST to Monday, Nov 27 at 8am PST.
