Sony Pictures Entertainment & Ghost Corps have teamed up with publisher 4:33 Inc and developer NextAge to produce an Augmented Reality (AR) game about being a Ghostbuster. “Ghostbusters World” is coming for the iOS and Android platforms scheduled for a 2018 release.
Revealed at Mobile World Congress in Spain, the game has been stipulated to feature the latest in Augmented Reality and mobile technologies.
CEO of 4:33 Inc has stated “…Fans will have the opportunity to take a walk through an immersive game environment that merges our everyday world with the many ghosts from the Ghostbusters Universe…”
Some early gameplay footage suggests that the game plays similarly to Pokémon GO. There’s also a Harry Potter AR game in the works for those who just can’t get enough of this genre. So if you’re keen on adding some Ghostbuster flare to your outdoor adventures then this is one to keep an eye on.
