Crackdown 3 has been delayed to 2019

Posted on June 8, 2018

Surprise, surprise. Another game gets delayed into 2019 and this time it’s one of Microsoft’s big exclusives. Crackdown 3 may have a lot of people excited although that excitement will now have to wait until February of next year. With only days before E3, Microsoft clearly wanted to rip this band-aid off now rather then be met with a chorus of sighs at the event itself.

With the delay of Crackdown 3, Microsoft really does have a sadly sparse 2018 roster of games. Hopefully their E3 conference will re-spark a bit of hope.

The announcement of the delay came from a Microsoft spokesperson who made a statement with Windows Central.

“Our fans’ response to the signature antics and explosive gameplay of “Crackdown 3” has been incredible. To ensure we deliver the experience they deserve, “Crackdown 3” will be launching in Feb 2019. We look forward to sharing more on “Crackdown 3″ this Sunday during the Xbox E3 2018 briefing.”

This isn’t the first time the game has been delayed but presumably it will be the last. Last year we saw the game get delayed into 2018 so it feels a little bit like history repeating itself. Nevertheless we know that Microsoft will have more to show us on the game at the upcoming Xbox E3 2018 conference.
