So here’s an odd bit of news… Nintendo have taken to Twitter to reveal that their newly released cardboard kit, the Nintendo Labo, will have actual compatibility with one of their popular games. Specifically it is the Nintendo Labo Motorbike Handlebars that will be compatible with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, allowing you to race in cardboard style.

The Motorbike Handlebars are available as apart of the Nintendo Labo Variety Kit, so most Labo owners should already have access to these. With the Switch mountable between the two handlebars, this method of playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe actually doesn’t look too ridiculous and may be a perfectly viable way to play.
The announcement is cool for sure, but it certainly raises a pressing question – are we ready for future Nintendo Labo controller options?
