It’s Ubisoft’s turn at the E3 spotlight, and they’ve got some strong contenders to show off. Though Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 has already been shown off this E3, Ubisoft has taken it upon themselves to reveal even more about their anticipated sequel. It’ll feature raids, and three chapters of free DLC. Two new trailers were also shown off, including a grim cinematic trailer showing the lingering effects of the bioterror attack that stuck America.
Set in Washington, things have become akin to a hell on Earth with disease and starvation running rampant. It’s everyone for themselves, and with the bodies piling up a little girl sends a call for help on a fragile paper aeroplane. It’s a trailer full of personality and atmosphere, and really gets us pumped to tackle Washington. Not only does the gameplay look great, but the raids in particular sound amazing with up to eight players able to join at once. The DLC will each contain new story, missions, and areas to explore, and all three chapters are expected to be released within the first year of the game becoming available. More importantly, the chapters will all be completely free of charge.
Sign ups for the beta are available at the official website for The Division 2. The game will be released on March 15th 2019.
