Drop the beat this October with The World Ends With You: Final Remix

Posted on August 10, 2018

A release date has finally been announced for the western release of the eagerly awaited remake of cult classic The World Ends With You: Final Remix.

Coming out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch, the action-role playing will be arriving October 12, 2018. On top of this positive news, a new trailer has been released to introduce new players to Deku and his companions, as well as showcase the gameplay featured within the upcoming release.

The trailer simply shows us a short montage of the main characters including Neku, Shiki, and Joshua alongside some of the games signature soundtrack. We are also treated to snippets of gameplay before the end of the trailer reveals the release date.

Having played the game several years prior on the Nintendo DS, I have nothing but fond memories of this game and its stellar soundtrack and story. For those younger gamers who missed their chance to play this gem, now is your chance to check out one of the most enjoyable games I’ve had the pleasure to experience.

The World Ends With You

Slated for a slightly earlier release in Japan on the 27th of September, this year, it’s great to see that we won’t have to wait too long after to get our hands on the game.

The World Ends With You: Final Remix is due for release October 12, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch and will be available to purchase both in store and on the Nintendo eShop. In the meantime, why not check out Edie’s retro review of the game?
