A teaser for a new Dragon Age game was revealed at The Game Awards 2018 after being hinted at earlier this week.
The minute-long video shows a few closeups of some kind of zombie grasshopper (?) statue, zooming out to the 2D art style the series likes to employ, followed by the hashtag #TheDreadWolfRises.

Why, you suspected correctly, sentient trailer, we do have questions! What is the name of this game? When will it be released? Is this a proper followup to Dragon Age Inquisition or a mobile spinoff?
Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer for those question to be answered, but the fact that this game exists is sure to launch a thousand hype-ships. What we can deduce based off of the voice in the trailer and the post credits reveal in Inquisition is that Solas, aka Fen’harel, aka The Dread Wolf, will play a major part in this instalment.
There hasn’t been a new installment of the Dragon Age series (mobile spinoffs included) since Inquisition‘s release in 2015.
Developer Bioware is currently working on online mech-suit RPG Anthem, set to release in 2019. If the #DreadWolf rises after Anthem, this will be Bioware’s first single-player RPG since Mass Effect Andromeda in 2017. If our review is anything to go by, we hope it’s an improvement.
The Game Awards continues to reveal new games like nobody’s business. Let us know what as-of-yet-revealed games you’d like to come out.
