The free DLC Wild Appalachia is now available for Fallout 76, which adds some much-needed flavour to the online RPG.
As well as adding general fixes for the existing game, Wild Appalachia also adds a new quest, and new crafting system, and plenty more. It also officially releases the PvP Survival Mode.
“A mythical beast, a lost generation of scouts, and the strongest brew this side of the wasteland. Welcome to Wild Appalachia.”
New adventures awaits you in Appalachia: a hunt for the horrific Sheepsquatch and other monsters in Sheer Terror, and earn merit badges and climb the ranks of the Pioneer Scouts in Ever Upwards. Near Vault-Tec University, relive the mischief of its former students and visit a notorious speakeasy, where an ever-tipsy robot named Bev will train you in the ways of brewing the illicite drink Nukashine.
Use the new Brewing and Distilling crafting system in the quest Wasted on Nukashine, and learn how to create various drinks such as the Firecracker Whiskey and Blood Tick Tequila Sunrise.
Starting from March 19, the yearly event Fasnacht Parade will begin, and will run for a week. The bots in the town of Helvetia will don fantastical masks and joyously march the streets in celebration. Help them defend the event from monsters and partycrashers alike, and maybe you’ll be allowed to join the march and participate in the burning of the Old Wicker Man at the end of the night, thereby earning your own Fasnacht mask. To begin the quest, talk to the Master of Ceremonies in Helvetia.
Other neat stuff includes new C.A.M.P decorating, snapshots, player vending, plus a new legendary vendor! Fallout 76 may not have had the most successful launch; even so now that it’s had a few months to fix some of its issues, are you keen on returning to the wasteland?
