Death Stranding gets a new cryptic teaser from Hideo Kojima

Posted on May 28, 2019

Hideo Kojima is synonymous with Konami’s Metal Gear Solid series, but he has recently been hard at work on his own company’s title, Death Stranding, which just got a new teaser from the man himself in a series of tweets.

Death Stranding has been shrouded in mystery ever since it was first announced during 2016’s E3, with no one really sure what the game’s story will be about or even the kinds of gameplay that will be involved.

Judging by the above teasers that Hideo released, it would seem we are still nowhere closer to understanding what this title will involve.  The recent tweets were a day apart and both show a handprint cutout with the words “CREATE THE ROPE” written across one and “HELP US RECONNECT” on the other whilst various images play in the background.

I’m sure everyone could talk and guess all day about what it could all mean and what the various images tease, but it is a safe bet we will find out more details during E3 2019.

The full-length trailer that was released during last years E3 presented fans with a very confusing and odd, yet absolutely beautiful and intriguing world. There was some form of Gameplay on display (if it can be called that) which was mostly comprised of the main player being some form of a new age courier.

Norman Reedus in Death Stranding

Death Stranding will feature some big names such as Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, and Léa Seydoux. I personally cannot wait to find out more about this game as I am a sucker for mysteries and media that makes you think twice about what you are interacting with.

There is currently no release date for Death Stranding, but fingers crossed we get an official date during E3.
