Everyone loves a time loop psychological thriller right? The latest title from Annapurna Interactive is an intriguing number indeed, called 12 Minutes it definitely appears to tick the suspense boxes. Very little about the game is known at this point but the trailer has definitely got my attention.

Yes, that is some sweet psychological horror right there. Repeating time loops and the possibility that she killed her husband, cops and mystery. Of course the name does imply that it might be 12 minute loops and could possibly be set in the one room.

The information on the official YouTube states: “What should be a romantic evening with your wife turns into a nightmare when a police detective breaks into your home, accuses your wife of murder and beats you to death… Only for you to find yourself immediately returned to the exact moment you opened the front door, stuck in a TWELVE-MINUTE time loop, doomed to relive the same terror again and again…

Unless you can find a way to use the knowledge of what’s coming to change the outcome and break the loop. TWELVE MINUTES is an interactive narrative that blends the dream-like tension of THE SHINING with the claustrophobia of REAR WINDOW and the fragmented structure of MEMENTO.”

12 Minutes

Annapurna Interactive have built themselves a reputation for publishing some really unique and well-made indies, including Ashen, Florence, Donut County and What Remains of Edith Finch.

While still a bit vague, 12 Minutes is definitely an interesting looking title coming soon to Xbox One and PC.
