Lots of things were interesting and mind-blowing at Microsoft’s E3 panel, what felt like a million announcements were thrown at the audience at once and god, did we struggle to keep up. We saw some Keanu Reeves, some Gears 5 and even an exciting Halo Infinite trailer. One interesting and odd addition was what else they had on table for the Forza Horizon franchise.
Microsoft teased an expansion for Forza Horizon 4 that is a collaboration with none other than LEGO themselves. They had some viewers curious when a full scale Lego model of a McLaren Senna was brought on stage. It took more than 400,000 LEGO bricks to make and even had some real car parts. With this, Microsoft announced an expansion for Forza Horizon 4, titled LEGO Speed Champions. It’s an exciting and interesting collaboration nevertheless, but just how will it work and look?
Forza Horizon 4’s LEGO Expansion sure is curious. It’ll see players dodging, dipping and racing around a “wondrous new LEGO Valley brought to life at the Horizon Festival.” Racers can see themselves amassing their own brick collection in order to construct a “Master Builder’s House” with a garage full of amazing Lego Speed Champions cars. For Forza fans, the LEGO lineup will include cars such as the McLaren Senna (much like the life sized model), Ferrari F40 Competizione, and the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally. Players also will complete fun new LEGO Brick Challenges and collect hidden bonus cubes for the keen collector, one hundred percenters.
For those curious about just how Forza Horizon 4 will pull this off and how racing around in a half realistic, half LEGO world will look, fans can wait no more. The expansion is out now for all Forza fans for them to jump in and race away, smashing some LEGO bricks to smithereens. Just remember, everything is awesome!
