Vermintide 2 is getting a multiplayer update reminiscent of Left 4 Dead

A new 4v4 game mode is coming to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 introducing PvP gameplay for the first time. The reveal was made at the PC Gaming E3 2019 show and it has a lot of people excited. That’s because Vermintide 2 PvP will allow players to become the Skaven and Rotblood enemies they are so use to fighting against and use their unique powers to attack their friends.

The new PvP gameplay can be seen in the trailer below.

It’s an awesome feature to see included and one that will no doubt bring a lot of joy to Vermintide players. It’s a game mode taken straight from the Left 4 Dead series which allowed players to take control of the special infected and wreak havoc on the people playing as the humans. Not only was it fun to play as infected, it was also a new challenge trying to win as humans against real, intelligent and coordinated players. After spending a lot of time with Left 4 Dead versus myself, I can’t wait to see how Vermintide compares.

According to developer Fatshark, “each game includes one round playing as the enemies, and one playing as the heroes. In the end the winner is the hero team that progressed the furthest through the mission.”
