It’s less than a week before E3, which means leaks are once again starting to trickle through. The latest is Watch Dogs Legion appearing on Amazon UK, complete with a short description of the game that could very well be revealed proper by Ubisoft at their conference.
The listing reads: “Watch_Dogs Legion is set in a near-future, dystopian version of London. It’s a post-Brexit world in which society, politics and technology have changed and altered London’s fortunes. London is one of the most iconic cities in the world and has had a massive influence on all of Western Culture for centuries… London makes total sense for WD, as the city has one of the highest surveillce [sic] levels in the world making this the perfect playground.”
Interestingly, it also notes under the details that you can “Play as anyone, Every individual you meet in the open world, has a full set of animations, voice over, character traits and visuals that are generated & guided by gameplay systems”.
Watch Dogs was considered to be a disappointment by many when it initially released back in 2014, but the franchise redeemed itself with a sense of humour, fun characters and a more vibrant setting with its sequel Watch Dogs 2.
We all know Ubisoft are the masters of fun open world games, so a third iteration certainly makes sense. We’ll have to wait and see what E3 brings and wait for more official information on Watch Dogs Legion that comes to light. While the listing is PS4 only, we fully expect the next Watch Dogs to appear across multiple platforms including Xbox One and PC.
