Legends of Runeterra, the strategy card building game from Riot Games has officially launched. This comes after a good three months of open beta, and is no doubt an exciting feat for the team. We’ve handily attached the fun new launch trailer for the game, that features some quite striking cinematics.
Legends of Runeterra is already situated quite comfortably in the deck building genre. Players build up their decks of various cards and battle it out in an in-game format. By no means was the game a genre creator but it did get nods and praise for its polish in an already crowded genre scene. It achieved all of this while being based in the League of Legends world and franchise, an already known and loved entity.
The full release of the game will come with some new goodies for players too. An all-new card set known as Rising Tides has been added, as well as champions and different cards from League of Legends have also been added to the game. That isn’t all though; a new cosmetic board, a series of new emotes and a whopping 120 new cards will also be present. That’s a hell of a lot of stuff for new and returning players.
Now, Legends of Runeterra is out in full! The game is available on PC, Android and iOS devices, and game progression can be shared between each with a Riot account. All the progress players have made in the game’s beta will carry over too so you needn’t fret. Will you be jumping in?
