LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy is once more getting his own adventure. Gone is the LittleBigPlanet franchise seemingly. Sayonara, odd spin-off kart game. Now, he’s getting his own simple 3D platforming adventure in Sackboy: A Big Adventure. The news arrived out of the PlayStation 5 reveal event that premiered this week and is one of the many presented first-party titles for the next-gen console.
While sharing the same platforming and wild, arcadey environments that the LittleBigPlanet franchise is known for, there is one departure. Level customisation and the community around this doesn’t make an appearance at all. Instead, it looks to be a scoped journey and campaign. Co-op play makes a return once more, with the collectathon fun of the original franchise.
As of yet, no release date and little other information has been provided for Sackboy: A Big Adventure other than the fact it’ll launch on PlayStation 5. Stay tuned.
