Sony has now debuted the launch trailer for the PlayStation 5. With the console release only days away, not only is that an exciting feat, but it seems the trailer teased more goodies for us. The trailer, titled “New Worlds To Play” has us getting a glimpse of some of the upcoming games for the upcoming console. On top of that, we have closer, more concrete release date windows on some of the console’s big upcoming games. Namely, Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, Gran Turismo 7 and Returnal.
For now, Sony and PlayStation both suggest that Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7 and Returnal are all expected in the first half of 2021 for the PlayStation 5. Meanwhile, Horizon Forbidden West (which curiously is also making its way to PS4) is expected in the second half of next year. It appears in small font as a disclaimer in the middle of the video but still, it’s the most info we have to go off thus far.
With a huge stack of games coming out this week to commemorate the launch of the PlayStation 5, gamers are already spoilt. Now, we have a bit more of a solid answer as to what next year in gaming will look like. Some of those games with question marks on them are certainly starting to look a bit clearer. Which of the bunch are you most looking forward to?
