Are you a bit nervous about buying a new media storage unit that will fit your Xbox Series X and/or PS5? Well Ikea are helping gamers decide what cabinet will be best for them by including mock PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles beside their media storage units.
A Reddit user posted a picture of both mock covers at their local store and the words on the side of the PS5 are pretty hilarious. They read “Which Ikea media storage unit will be able to fit my new, meme-ishly oversized, gaming console?” This is obviously Ikea showing us how hip and down they are with the kids as when it was announced, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X designs were roasted pretty hard on the net.
This move from Ikea is a pretty cool one. I mean, the PS5 is the biggest in size that Sony has ever released, so it’s smart for Ikea to include copies of the console so that players will feel comfortable in finding a home for their new family member. Also, players can decide whether they will display their consoles vertically or horizontally. Either way, it’s a win-win for players and for Ikea.
No word yet if Ikea Australia have these mock consoles at stores down under, but please let us know if you see any! The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles are out now, though they are pretty hard to come by!
