If it isn't video games, Edie doesn't care about it. She's been playing games since the N64 era, and only spent enough time away from her 3DS to earn a Bachelor in Games Design from RMIT.
RGG Studios, the development studio behind SEGA’s Yakuza series of games as well as 2018’s Judgment, has tweeted a link to a mysterious website titled ‘Judgment Day’ which features nothing but a timer. The timer is counting down to the date 7th of May 2021, and links to a YouTube video that is set to premiere on the same date:
It’s pretty obvious that this announcement will have something to do with Judgment. Some are theorising that this will simply be an announcement of the long-theorised PC port of the game, while others believe this might be teasing a sequel or at least some DLC. They point to the fact that whatever this website is teasing seems to be pending a rating classification, which certainly lends weight to the idea that we’ll soon be seeing some brand new content. While it seems unlikely they would go through all this trouble to announce a PC port, Square Enix pulled a similar trick with their announcement for The World Ends With You – Solo Remix, the iOS version of the game.
Only time will tell what Judgment Day has in store for us. Judgment is now available on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and Google Stadia.
