Devolver Tumble Time is nightmare fuel on your mobile

Revealed during Devolver Digital’s 2021 Showcase, the all-new “what the f@$! is this?” game Devolver Tumble Time is the next mobile fad.

If you haven’t already seen the fun but eerily disturbing trailer, check it out below. Despite how maniacal it all is, the animation and cartoon style is certainly impressive.

“Devolver Tumble Time is the future of physics-based puzzle gameplay, elegant monetization, and strategic brand integration.” Players will be able to choose from a large roster of Devolver Digital characters, such as Hotline Miami, Minit, and a bunch of others from games you’ve probably never even heard of.

The game is being developed by NOPOPO, who is known for the unique Yo! and Dang! series of mobile games. They have a very distinctive style, with minimalistic and cute characters. They are experts in the field of making addicting smartphone games.

Unleash special abilities to clear huge chunks and earn powerful buffs to create explosive chain reactions. Challenges will let players unlock new characters and earn currency to buy more things. That’s right, it’s a mobile game with microtransactions! Devolver Digital is clearly leaning heavily into this, asking players to “maybe watch some entertaining ads” and letting us know that “buying stuff is great”.

Devolver Tumble Time will be on a handheld, mobile device near you, sometime in 2021.
