It’s almost shocking that we have gone almost a year into this Xbox console cycle without having a Forza game. Well, that’s set to change, as we had confirmation that Forza Horizon 5 is coming on November 9.
We were expecting maybe a Forza Motorsport to come first, considering the last Forza game we had in our hands was Forza Horizon 4; but, as big fans of the open world racer here at Checkpoint, we are stoked about Forza Horizon 5 jumping the queue.
This time, the setting for the game is in Mexico, with a campaign where you expand the festival. It looks absolutely stunning, with Mayan architecture, dense rainforests and lots of detail – right down to the individual needles on cacti in the desert.
Extended gameplay footage shown was calling out the geology detail using photogrammetry data, and even features street art from actual artists in Mexico. They captured actual skies over there that mean every frame is dynamic with lighting and weather effects. They also showed off a new mode where you can create your own minigames and more. Check it out for yourself:
We can’t wait to see more, and Forza Horizon 5 is set for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC – of course, part of Xbox Game Pass – on November 9th.
