It’s that time. It’s E3 season. With it comes the torrential wave of gaming news. In Koch Media’s showcase, titled Koch Primetime, we were treated to the reveal of twelve entirely new games. Undoubtedly these announcements were exciting. Though what was more eyebrow-raising was the fact these games will all be published under a new banner within Koch Media. That publisher’s name? Prime Matter.
Prime Matter has quite the task on hand. They’ve committed to publishing twelve games over the next few years. These include titles such as the hotly announced Payday 3 and newer IP such as horror game The Chant and sci-fi shooter Scars Above. “Prime Matter is a new home for premium games, offering both current and future partners all the expertise of the Koch Media Group alongside a new and dynamic team dedicated to maximising their true potential,” said Koch Media’s CEO Klemens Kundratitz.
Checkpoint Gaming was treated with seeing Koch Media’s Koch Primetime showcase ahead of time. One of the big talking points about the label was raising the question “What is a label without great games?” Hopefully, these twelve proposed games are just the start of that. It’ll be interesting to see how well Prime Matter and Koch Media pull off their marketed “immersive and diverse games.”
This is just the beginning of our E3 coverage. Stay tuned at Checkpoint Gaming for the latest on E3 and all the surrounding events (related or unrelated) over the next few weeks.
