Three years after its announcement, The Forgotten City, a game that spawned from a Skyrim mod, has a release date. With an ancient Roman murder mystery whodunnit setting, the adventure game is due just next month. This news comes from the IGN Expo Livestream.
Its premise? A time loop has struck an ancient Roman city. No one is permitted to commit sins in the city. Yet, a murder has occurred. Just who committed it?
The Forgotten City is a game that’s been worked on for some time. The mod that’s made by local Aussie talent even went on to win a Writer’s Guild award, being the first video game to receive such prestige.
The Forgotten City is due for PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One & Xbox Series X|S, Switch and Steam. It releases on July 28 and a digital collector’s edition will net you a key for the game, a digital map of the city and digital soundtrack along with a 3D print file for a Sentius character statue. Get solving that Ancient Roman crime!
