The 2021 Devolver Digital Showcase has kicked off with a bang. Trek to Yomi is a gorgeous, upcoming 2D samurai adventure developed by Flying Wild Hog, the developers behind the Shadow Warrior series. It sure looks to be a trying, emotional journey.
The game’s trailer description on Youtube states the following: “As a vow to his dying Master, the young swordsman Hiroki is sworn to protect his town and the people he loves against all threats. Faced with tragedy and bound to duty, the lone samurai must voyage beyond life and death to confront himself and decide his path forward.”
Trek to Yomi releases sometime in 2022 and will be published by Devolver Digital. The art style looks absolutely out of this world, as does the combat. It certainly will be interesting to see how this side-scrolling adventure fares. Stay tuned.
