Fortnite releases surprise free diversity content

Get around this Fortnite Battle Royale fans, it’s finally happened. Pride content is finally dropping into the game and boy is it good to see the rainbow finally getting a victory royale! It seems like the aliens aren’t the only things touching down in Fortnite’s Rainbow Royale for Season 7.

Everyone is welcome aboard the Battle Bus.

Truly, I’ve been waiting for this! I’ve basically played the game since it launched on console and I’ve been wondering for a while if we’d ever see pride content come to the island. All the Rainbow Royale cosmetics are available in the Fortnite Item Shop now for the next week and they’re all free too!

This is so exciting for queer Fortnite players as it’s felt like the game has been hesitant to share their support of diversity in the community. It is a shame that it wasn’t during June for Pride month but alas it’s here. As a player, I’m not really one to use the sprays in-game but I reckon I’ll add the wrap to my favourites in-game for that happy splash of colour during gunfights.

And as an added bonus, we’ll be getting music from our favourite queer artists such as Lil Nas X, King Princess, Troye Sivan, and Hayley Kiyoko just to name a few. Wow, I truly can’t wait to run someone over in a car while blasting Lil Nas X!
