Netflix just won’t stop with the video game adaptations! After successfully bringing Castlevania and The Witcher to their streaming service, Netflix has seemingly been on a crusade to adapt as many beloved video game properties as possible. This time it’s Monster Hunter: Netflix has revealed a trailer for a 3D animated film titled Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild, starring Aiden from Monster Hunter 4. Watch the trailer below:

It’s seemingly an origin story for Aiden, a hunter that appears in both Monster Hunter 4 and Monster Hunter: World. In Legends of the Guild, Aiden and a group of other hunters must protect their village against an Elder Dragon, who is migrating across the land destroying everything in its path. We can guess from the trailer that we’ll get to see Aiden grow from an eager yet naive youth to a fully-fledged monster hunter.

The runtime of the film will apparently be just under an hour, with a voice cast including Ben Rausch, Erica Lindbeck, and Dante Basco. It’s directed by Steven Yamamoto, a visual effects specialist who has worked on movies such as Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild will premier on August 12.
