The trailer promises a focus on Geralt and Ciri as he takes her to Kaer Morhen, the stronghold that has been the home base for the Witchers for centuries. We might meet some new Witcher characters too, and we may see Ciri go through her Witcher training as she does in the books. We also see a glimpse of Yennifer, whom we last saw defending the Northern Kingdoms from the Nilfgaardian invasion. There is not yet any sign of poor Jaskier, so time will tell when, if at all, the two will kiss and make up from their fight. Either way, all will be revealed when The Witcher TV series’ Season 2 premieres on December 17th this year.
To celebrate the announcement, CD Project Red has announced some free updates will soon be coming to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, themed around the Netflix series. What exactly these updates entail have yet to be revealed.
