Magic: The Gathering’s vampires have made a Crimson Vow

Posted on November 24, 2021

You’re invited to a vampire wedding for the ages with Innistrad: Crimson Vow. The decorations are ready, the vows have been written, and the humans cower in terror. This party could last forever… unless someone were to crash it.

The second Magic the Gathering set based in the plane of Innistrad has been released upon the world. In Crimson Vow, vampires reign supreme in this heavily themed set following the wedding of Olivia Voldaren and Edgar Markov. Enjoy cleverly named cards and gorgeous art sharing in the traditional gothic horror style. If you enjoy a rich narrative you simply must find out whether the wedding goes to plan over on the Magic Story site.

Collectors and procurers of alternative art will especially enjoy select cards that pay homage to the original Dracula story by Bram Stoker, available in foil and non-foil. Fang framed borders also showcase alternative art and show off Sorin and his stupid sexy self. The lined gothic art styled lands continue on from Midnight Hunt which are sure to become a part of your favourite deck.

The Commander decks have also released showcasing Vampire and Spirit tribal. They feature a mix of reprinted commander staples alongside specially printed commander cards just for the set. As we’ve learnt recently, these decks offer a cohesive out of the box experience for newer players. Head over and see the deck lists and choose your side wisely.

Arena players have not been forgotten and now have access to several awesome new emotes, avatars, sleeves and pets with the new Mastery Pass. Play as (stupid sexy) Sorin or Olivia and give your opponents the GG they deserve. Limited Formats are available now with both player and bot drafts in Best of 1 and Best of 3 formats. Sealed is always a great start to a set expecially if you haven’t been able to get to a local store for a prerelease.

Don’t forget to put in code PLAYVOW for 3 free boosters on MTG Arena!

Crimson Vow is available now online on Magic: The Gathering Arena and available as Boosters, Bundles and Boxes at your local game store!
