The highly anticipated sequel to the much acclaimed 2017 Zelda game has been delayed into next year. We first found out about sequel plans for Breath of the Wild back at E3 2019 when a short teaser showed a bit of a creepy and dark take on what is usually a colourful and vibrant series. Then last year at E3 2021 we got another teaser showing off more of the world alongside a release date of 2022.
Unfortunately that projected release date won’t be getting met, as series producer Eiji Aonuma explains in a video statement released accross Nintendo’s socials and YouTube account found below.

The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now expected in Spring 2023, which is Autumn for us Southern Hemisphere dwellers. All we can do is hope it’ll be wortht he wait.
