The Meta Quest Gaming Showcase has wrapped up, and has unveiled Meta’s upcoming line-up of games for their Quest 2 VR headset. Their showcase gave us a look at the games that are coming out later this year, while also expanding on their previous release of Resident Evil 4 which was released on the Quest last year.
The biggest highlight came at the end of the showcase with Ghostbusters VR, which gives players the experience of being a Ghostbuster, which involves ghostbusting with up to 4 players in co-op while also simulating the experience of running your own Ghostbusters agency in San Fransisco.
Among Us VR was also shown at the showcase, along with the news that Schell Games was partnering with Meta for the release of three new projects, though more details were not revealed.
Beat Saber, which came out last year, announced the new Beat Saber: Electronic Mixtape at the showcase, featuring tracks from electronic artists such as Deadmau5 and Marshmello.
There were also announcements of game sequels, such as Red Matter 2, which picks up immediately after the first game. The new release introduces more tools for puzzle-solving and a more mobile jetpack for easier navigation over difficult terrain.
As mentioned above, Resident Evil 4 – The Mercenaries was announced, giving players the fan-favourite mode that has been entirely rebuilt for VR. There will be leaderboards, new challenges, and unlocks that you can carry over into the main game.
