After years of rumours, we finally have official word. Resident Evil 4 Remake is coming in 2023. Get keen.
This news comes fresh from the recent PlayStation State of Play, opening the showcase. Offered are enticing sights around the familiar European village. Creeping around the channels are the villagers, donning pitchforks and all. We see Leon in his edgy glory, now all in HD.
This venture looks to be in the third person, akin to the recent remakes of 2 and 3, rather than the new mainline first-person perspective. “This time it can be different. It has to,” Leon’s voice over says as he enters the village at the end of the trailer. Just what does this mean? Who knows.
Seems it’ll be a little while yet until we find out. The Resident Evil 4 Remake releases on March 24, 2023. If you’re after more Resident Evil 4 to tide you over in the meantime, you can play a new version on Oculus Quest 2, which was released last year.
