Everyone has been curious about Sonic Frontiers since it was announced, promising an open world adventure for everybody’s favourite speedy blue hedgehog.
Thanks to IGN, we now have our first proper look at gameplay from the upcoming adventure, showing Sonic exploring the open world, collecting rings, solving puzzles and… well… doing other Sonic related activities. Will this truly be Sonic: Breath of the Wild? Check it out.
The open world looks a little bit quiet, and no enemies or serious challenges are in sight, at least when it comes to this particular gameplay snippet. Racing around, exploring and finding cool things to interact with looks fun enough, though. Hopefully it all comes together when the game eventually releases.
Sonic Frontiers is expected to release later this year for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
