While Resident Evil 4 Remake might not feel as necessary or in need of a glow-up as much as Resident Evil 2 was prior to its remake, a focus from today’s Resident Evil Showcase unveils a stunning looking game that looks to make the original even better.
Taking a look at the gameplay trailer, there is an incredible amount of detail when exploring the town and the violent Los Plagas. Overall, I didn’t think this remake was entirely necessary, but seeing the footage here has certainly changed my tone, as it looks awesome.
We also got a story reveal trailer, which showed off some of the characters we remember from Resident Evil 4, including Ashley, the President’s daughter. She was represented quite young in the original but is shown as older here, so we’ll have to wait and see whether she is less of a pain to protect than in the 2005 version.
