Fire Emblem Engage gets first wave of DLC on launch day

Posted on December 12, 2022

Fire Emblem Engage is the latest entry into the franchise that brings a brand new story along with a new cast of characters. It also brings back characters from previous games in the form of Emblem Rings, which can be used to unleash powerful attacks.

At the Game Awards 2022, a new trailer for Fire Emblem Engage was shown, displaying more gameplay footage and introducing its expansion pass.

There will be four waves in the Expansion Pass, each bringing new characters, maps, accessories, and other items to improve your experience with the game. The first wave will be coming out on January 20, 2023 on the day of the game’s release.

The three house heads from Fire Emblem Three Houses will be included in that wave, with Claude, Dimitri, and Edelgard existing on one Emblem Ring. There were other characters seen in the trailer, such as Tiki, but it’s not known yet if they are included in the Expansion Pass.

You can’t purchase the Expansion Pass yet, but you are able to pre-order Fire Emblem Engage now. The Expansion Pass will be available for purchase closer to or on January 20, 2023.
