The Dead Space Remake on Steam comes with a free copy of Dead Space 2

Launching on January 27th, just over 2 weeks from the time of writing, is the highly anticipated remake to the 2008 classic—Dead Space. Staring Isaac Clarke in his struggles to survive a nightmarish mining ship crawling with hostile foes, Dead Space became an instant hit. And now its remake is set to come with even further incentives for those who find themselves pre-purchasing via Steam.

The remake’s Steam page has been updated to say, “Pre-Purchase now and you’ll also receive Dead Space 2 when the remake launches on January 27, 2023.”

We’ve certainly been excited about 2023’s Dead Space ever since we first saw its announcement back in 2021. This sci-fi horror title has always been a beloved release, with recent games similar to Dead Space, such as The Callisto Protocol, unable to quite live up to the heights of its inspiration.

Dead Space 2 was similarly well received upon its release in 2011. So for fans who’ve never played the series, getting the remake and the sequel all for one purchase may be a super tantalising value prospect. This pre-order deal only appears to be available on PC via Steam, with other storefronts and platforms such as The Epic Games store not showing that same pre-order bonus.

Dead Space (the remake) is set to release on January 27, 2023, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
