Stuck waiting around for the long-in-development Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake to come out? Ubisoft has you covered. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a brand new 2D entry in the series that was just announced, kicking off Summer Game Fest with a bang.
Puzzle-solving meshed with fast and frenetic platforming and combat will be how you spend the majority of time in-game, though it too is said to be ‘inspired’ by the Metroidvania structure.
The game description for the trailer reads: “Immerse yourself in rich and vibrant environments as you accompany Sargon on his epic journey. Discover the perfect blend of parkour, combat and puzzle-solving that characterises the Prince of Persia series.”
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown releases on January 18 2024 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC. Expect more information and footage on the game at the Ubisoft Forward 2023 event, which is just around the corner.
