We had Sonic Frontiers not even a year ago, but already fans of the blue blur are in for another treat. Sonic Superstars is a brand new 2D 4-player co-op title due later this year.
Sonic Superstars features a very vibrant and colourful world to explore. The opening of the trailer teases fans by having Sonic run between two art styles, a low-bit retro style or of a more colourful and chibi-look found in games like Sonic Generations. After he speeds off into the latter art style, we’re let loose onto some of what we can expect on our adventure.
Speeding through Green Hill Zone, entering cyberspace as you control a jellyfish and ascending through ceilings Tears of the Kingdom-style (seriously) are just some of these escapades. Also in tow are Knuckles, Tails and Amy, allowing for up to 4 player co-op for the affair.
Sonic Superstars arrives in Fall 2023 which is Spring for us Aussies, slated for release on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and PC.
