It’s been a little under three years since EA released UFC 4 back in 2020. But in a Tweet from the EA Sports UFC Twitter account, they’ve revealed that the newest title in the UFC series, UFC 5, is coming. Not only that but there’ll be a “full reveal” in September of this year, so only two months away! In the Tweet is a link that invites fans to keep up to date including “behind-the-scenes content, exclusive offers, and more”. What’ll be included in the full reveal, well we’ll have to find out in September.

The most recent mixed martial arts fighting video game in the series got some pretty good scores when it came out. The PlayStation 4 version got a 78 and the Xbox version got an 82 via Metacritic. Almost a month after it released, EA then quickly removed in-game advertisements. These advertisements weren’t just ads for in-game sports drinks, they were real-life advertisements. Like an ad for the Amazon Prime Original TV show, The Boys. While sure, it mirrors real-life sports broadcasts, it’s also quite weird to have ads for a game most people paid $90+ AUD for. This isn’t the first time real-life ads were placed in games, and it probably won’t be the last.
