With PAX Australia 2023 literally weeks away, more amazing iconic digital and tabletop exhibitors have been announced to get us even more excited for the event! There are some big names in this list folks, so hold on to your badges as we delve into who has just been confirmed to exhibit!
Nintendo as we know will be running Splatoon and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournaments in the PAX arena, but they are now headed to the expo floor! As we predicted back in August, attendees will be able to play Super Mario Bros. Wonder before its release on the 20th of October. The My Nintendo Store will also be in attendance, where you will be able to look through and purchase available merch.
Sega will also be at PAX showcasing Sonic Superstars and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name. Also, Melbourne-based Ukiyo Studios are bringing the largest Southeast Asian indie games group to PAX Australia with “SEA What I Made! (SWIM)”. This will consist of 15 titles from countries like the Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia featuring all types of genres from a restaurant management sim to a Diablo-like with Southeast Asian influences.
For tabletop fans, Star Wars Unlimited demo will be shown for the first time in Australia, along with two legendary players in the tabletop world attending – Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. If you ever wanted to learn how to play D&D or Magic, PAX 2023 has you sorted with guides helping noobs get their bearings around both iconic games. Other franchises coming to the tabletop arena will be Dragon Ball Z and One Piece who will both be hosting tournaments and you’ll also get to check out the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game. Also, two big names in the tabletop space, Phil Walker-Harding (Sushi Go, Bear Park, Imhotep) and Matt Dunstan (Fairy Tile, Relic Runners) will be on the floor with the former showcasing demos of his game and the latter showcasing a new game for the first time at PAX Australia.
