This year, The Great Game on Cancer Giveaway run by Game On Cancer will boast the largest gaming and entertainment giveaway in Australian history, to raise $50,000 plus for Cure Cancer. With more than 900 prizes on offer during the fundraiser, the epic prizes are valued at a whopping $58,000.
From December 6 to December 19, all you have to do is donate $50 AUD (or more) to Cure Cancer, and you’ll instantly win a prize valued at $50 or more, randomly selected from the assortment of donated prizes. You can donate as many times as you like or as much as you like – and each $50 donation gets you a prize, so don’t hold back! This means that your donation helps with cancer research, and you get a prize that could be greater than the value of your donation. Pretty cool, right?
Just go to the Cure Cancer website (as of tomorrow, when it kicks off!), make a donation, and then at the end of the two-week campaign, you will be informed about which prize you have won.
Major brands are on board including the likes of Xbox and EA Games, who have all donated prizes to the campaign. Prizes include a PC from Outlaw Tek worth $2,000, Xbox Series X and S consoles, and a Moza R5 Racing Bundle, just to name a few.
Other brands involved include:
Logitech G, Turtle Beach, Nanoleaf, Bethesda, Twelve South, Satechi, Quokka Mousepads, Outlaw Tek, 2K, The Game Expo, Good Games Publishing, Space Cowboys, Fantasy Flight Games, Z-Man Games, Pandasaurus Games, CATAN Studios, Andaseat, MOZA Racing, Bungie, PAX Australia, Annapurna Interactive, Neon Doctrine, Wahu, Keychron, PLAION ANZ and Fortress.
“The money raised will go directly to Cure Cancer to fund ground-breaking cancer research by brilliant scientists to save millions of lives. Cure Cancer’s community of researchers, fundraisers and partners take on every cancer, working together to find the most impactful solutions in record time. Driven by a bold ambition – What if we cure cancer? The charity recently announced that it has raised over $1million through its Game on Cancer initiative; vital monies driving vital research into all cancers.” says the press release.
During this time of year that’s all about giving, this is a great cause to donate to and help on the mission to cure cancer.
