Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance appeared during the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase this morning, showing off new characters and demons.
Two new story paths are added, along with quality-of-life improvements and gameplay refinements. Players get to choose between the traditional story or pursuing a second storyline that expands on the world that revolves around revenge. The new storyline has the Protagonist fly through rings and utilise new skills during battle. A new female character fights alongside the Protagonist in the second storyline, playing a dominant role instead of being a supporting character.
“When a grisly murder scene in modern-day Tokyo blocks the protagonist’s walk home, an unplanned detour leaves him buried and unconscious. He finds himself in a wasteland ravaged by apocalypse now called Da’at. Before bloodthirsty demons can claim his life, a saviour emerges, and they unite to become a mighty being, neither human nor demon: a Nahobino.” says the press release.
Unlike Shin Megami Tensei V which was only available on the Switch, Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance is a multi-platform release. The game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Nintendo Switch. If you want an RPG with multiple storylines and a great turn-based combat system, this will be a release to look forward to.
Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance arrives on June 21st, 2024 on all platforms.
