Summer Games Done Quick, the speed running event that took place from the 6th to the 13th of July in Minnesota, has raised millions of dollars for charity Doctors Without Borders.

Thousands were in attendance, and even more watched via Twitch. Many popular games were sped-run throughout the week, including Cuphead, Avowed, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and a Checkpoint indie favourite for 2025, Blue Prince.

The last game played to end Summer Games Done Quick was Super Metroid, which attracted 2,000 in-person attendees and many thousands on Twitch. The event managed to raise 1.8 million pounds, or $3.7 million AUD for Doctors Without Borders, which is an independent international medical humanitarian organisation that cares for people who have been affected by disasters, and supports those who don’t have access to healthcare other conflicts due to war/famine.
