Xbox is giving away a 3 metre ant plushie and Aussies can enter

To celebrate the release of Grounded 2, Xbox is giving away a 10-foot (~3 metres) ant plushie, and Australians are eligible to enter. Yes, really. It’s huge, it’s weirdly adorable, and it could double as the most intimidating gaming chair ever made.

Grounded 2, the sequel to Obsidian’s popular mini-survival game, shrinks players down once again. This time in a massive park instead of a backyard. While you dodge bugs and battle the elements, you can now also ride the insects.

One lucky winner will receive what Microsoft officially calls a piece of “gaming furniture”. It’s a life-sized version of the ant mount from the game, complete with a little saddle so you can sit and pretend you’re a backyard cowboy.  Realistically, it’s a massive plush bug that could scare your housemates or delight your dog. It’s hard to say.

Xbox is inviting people to enter by engaging with their social channels, either on X or Instagram by reposting the official Grounded 2 post with the same hashtag and commenting. That’s it. One winner will be drawn, and hopefully, they have a living room big enough to handle their new six-legged roommate.

Grounded 2 officially launches in early access on 29 July for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Set in 1992, the sequel picks up with the same tiny heroes from the first game, now exploring a three-times-larger map filled with new challenges, creepy crawlies, and storylines both above and below ground.

With The Outer Worlds 2 also dropping later this year, it’s shaping up to be a massive 2025 for Obsidian. But for now, all eyes are on Grounded 2 and that massive plush ant someone might soon be calling a chair.
