Prime Video has released its official trailer for Fallout Season 2, bringing back our favourite characters as they enter one of the game’s iconic locations – New Vegas. The trailer teases the return of Ella Purnell’s Lucy MacLean and Walton Goggins’ Ghoul/Cooper Howard, as they venture through the Wasteland to find Hank MacLean (Kyle MacLachlan). Also returning is Maximus (Aaron Moten) as he regroups with the Brotherhood of Steel and prepares for war.
Immediately taking place after the events of Season 1, this latest season will test Lucy’s relationship with her father after she learned the truth about Shady Sands and his role in its destruction. While fans don’t get a full glimpse of what New Vegas would look like, it will showcase what Vegas was like before the war through Cooper Howard’s flashbacks and the debut of Robert Edwin House (aka Mr House), now played by Justin Theroux. As our heroes enter New Vegas, they will face new factions and creatures that prove far more dangerous than their previous encounters.
Fallout Season 1 released on Prime Video on April 10, 2024 and became an immediate success. It was highly praised by fans and critics alike, generating a high 93% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Meanwhile, it received numerous accolades, winning “Best Adaptation” at the 2024 Game Awards, “Outstanding Emerging Media Program” at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, “Best Science Fiction Television Series” at the Saturn Awards, and a nomination for “Outstanding Drama Series” during the Primetime Emmy Awards. Just like the first instalment, Season 2 will also contain eight episodes. But unlike its predecessor, episodes will come out every week instead of having the full season released at once.
Fallout Season 2 will be available for streaming on Prime Video on December 17, 2025.
