Become the Avatar, master of all four elements, in this upcoming Magic: The Gathering collaboration. The hit Wizards of the Coast TCG is teaming up with Avatar: The Last Airbender as part of its Universes Beyond sub-brand. Now, fans of both the card game and the hit Nickelodeon show can revisit the franchise like never before. This set will release before the end of the year and has unveiled details about what’s included.
The upcoming Avatar: The Last Airbender set features Team Aang—Aang, Katara, Zuko, Sokka, Toph, and other fan-favourite characters. Also starring in this set are Appa, Momo, Princess Yue, Fire Lord Sozin, and, of course, our favourite Cabbage Merchant.
Not only will the cards feature the show’s iconic characters, but they will also revisit notable locations and memorable scenes from the hit TV show. This set will come in a variety of products, including Play and Collector Boosters, regular and commander bundles, Jumpstart boosters, prerelease packs, a beginner box and scene boxes. Pre-orders are now open and will be released this November.
Avatar: The Last Airbender, a Nickelodeon show from 2005–2008, became a hit franchise, with a third instalment reportedly in production. The show also inspired graphic novels, live-action adaptations, video games, and the 2021 tabletop game Avatar Legends: The Roleplaying Game.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is one of many IPs and franchises that Magic: The Gathering has teamed up with. Previous crossovers include Final Fantasy, Assassin’s Creed, Doctor Who, Hatsune Miku, and Monty Python, just to name a few.
Magic: The Gathering x Avatar: The Last Airbender will be released on November 21. 2025.
