New Cult of the Lamb expansion, Woolhaven, has you uncovering the history of lambkind

It’s time to don your red cloak and gather your flock once again as Massive Monster and Devolver Digital reveal their next major expansion to the massively successful Cult of the Lamb, Woolhaven.

A lost God calls you from a mysterious mountain: you must rebuild the flock and reawaken winter to uncover the truth of the fallen lambs. Face the past before it consumes you in this full-length, feature-packed expansion.

Aside from the cinematic at the start of the trailer being awesome, the icy setting of Woolhaven looks particularly interesting. It will be your job to return the lost souls of Woolhaven to their spiritual home and to uncover the forgotten history of lambkind. It is up to you to reclaim the mountain and return the town to its former glory, to restore the power of the forgotten God of the lambs, Yngya.

New environmental hazards threaten the survival of your Cult, from blizzards and freezing temperatures to frostbite and famine. Unlock ranching to breed rare animals that provide your followers with warmth from their wool, and their meat when times turn dire. These animals will be able to be tamed, ridden and taken care of, but don’t get too attached… Just from the trailer, this expansion looks like it’s going to be a wild ride. The bright blues against the stark white colour palette, alongside the bloody red masses of flesh inside dark dungeons, is very visually catching. Absolutely pulverising enemies with those dual chain maces also looks incredibly fun.

Now, it’s important to note that this is going to be a paid expansion, but the price is yet to be revealed. It is also only going to be accessible near the end of the base game, so it’s really going to be a great addition for anyone who’s put a lot of time into Cult of the Lamb already and is craving more.

Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven will be launching on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC in early 2026. Praise the Lamb.
