But it’s not all good news; the tyrant Heavenly Peter has escaped your clutches, and you have been tasked with the mission of finding him…

Your journey will take you through a richly detailed landscape built from hundreds of different Renaissance paintings. You will steal a ship, feed a donkey, compete in a talent contest, assist an inept street magician, sing, dance, play the (magic?) flute, poke a man’s face, hunt for treasure and have a chat with Our Lord God Almighty… But will you find Heavenly Peter? And if you do, how will you take your revenge!?”

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Date (Aus): 10/04/2020
Genre:
RPG
Platforms: PS4

“FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a reimagining of the iconic original game that re-defined the RPG genre, diving deeper into the world and its characters than ever before. Along with unforgettable characters and a powerful story, FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE features a hybrid battle system that merges real-time action with strategic, command-based combat.

The story of this first game in the FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE project covers up to the main party’s escape from Midgar. This first game goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the original FINAL FANTASY VII did and is a standalone game which comes on two Blu-ray Discs.

The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.”

Ancient Enemy

Date (Aus): 10/04/2020
Genre:
Card
Platforms: PC

“Ancient Enemy is a strategic RPG card game in which you make interesting tactical decisions as you battle distorted enemies and overcome challenging puzzles. Face a horde of deadly enemies, each one emerging from a world in which evil has already triumphed. You must not only endure, but also rebuild your powers to vanquish evil and fight one last duel against your monstrous nemesis!

Travel through a scarred landscape with dozens of atmospheric levels, draw power from the Earth, and struggle for the soul of the world itself. Test your skills against a host of foes in unique solitaire-style turn-based combat!”

Radio General

Date (Aus): 10/04/2020
Genre:
RTS
Platforms: PC

“Radio General is a real-time strategy game where you can’t see your units. Instead you talk with them over the radio. You receive verbal reports, and then issue orders back. Unfortunately for you, war is confusing. Your units won’t always know what’s going on, and you must make tough decisions based on these incomplete (and often confused) reports. All of this is done from a detailed command tent, as it would have been during WWII.

Clear your throat, and show us your best commanding voice. By combining speech recognition with full voice-acting, you’ll feel like you’re a general on the horn with your troops.

Final Fantasy VII Remake
10/04/2020

There aren’t many games that come as highly anticipated as Final Fantasy VII Remake. This is an absolute classic of a game, one that often falls right at the top of people’s favourite games of all times lists, being re-imagined and remade for modern times.

We’ve been treated with a lot of goodness in the lead up to Final Fantasy VII Remake. A demo was released that allowed everybody to dive in and get a taste for what this remake would entail. We were then treated with an early physical release (at least here in Australia). A lot of people have this game in their hands already, and it’s already generating a lot of excitement. It’s clear that Final Fantasy VII Remake is not just a simple recreation of an old game. It’s a completely overhauled and reworked game with its own identity and its own ideas incorporated on top of a beloved structure. And that’s reason enough to be excited.

What new titles are you most excited for this week? Be sure to let us know!

Don’t forget last week’s Coming Out to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
