Sony has announced the free games that will be available for PS Plus members, starting from the month of September. The biggest title on the list is Destiny 2, 2017’s multi-award winning shooter multiplayer.
Destiny 2 has been released free for PS Plus members early, and is available to play right now. Sony says this is so members can try the free trial of Destiny 2: Forsaken’s new hybrid PVE & PVP mode, Gambit, which starts on September 1st at 10am PST. This will allow members to get a taste of the base game before it’s latest expansion, Destiny 2: Forsaken, drops on September 4th. However, players wanting to play the full Forsaken DLC and any previous expansions will still need to pay for them.
The other big name on September’s list is God of War 3: Remastered, which brought everyone’s favourite murder boy Kratos to HD. Destiny 2 is available now, but God of War 3: Remastered and these other free games will become available on September 1st:
- Another World – 20th Anniversary Edition, PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4 & Vita)
- QUBE Director’s Cut, PS3 (Cross Buy with PS4)
- Sparkle 2, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS3 & PS4)
- Foul Play, PS Vita (Cross Buy with PS4)
Sony reminds members that additional games are available via PlayLink and PS VR: the party trivia game Knowledge is Power, and the first person horror Here They Lie, respectively.
