Fans have been eagerly awaiting more news on the release date of World of Warcraft’s eighth expansion, Shadowlands, since it’s announcement last year. Today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event finally gave us our answer. We can expect to see the release of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands on 27 October 2020!
The release date trailer gives us a beautiful look at the areas we can expect to see in the new expansion. After the events of Battle for Azeroth, the player’s new objective will be to adventure into the Shadowland and save reality itself from unravelling completely. Since Sylvanas Windrunner decided that destroying the Litch King’s Helm and tearing a hole in the veil to the literal Land of the Dead was a GREAT idea (Thanks Sylvanas). It looks like we’re going to have one HELL of a time ahead of us! New and endlessly re-playable content like the infinite dungeon Torghast, Tower of the Damned is just waiting to gobble you up.
Hold steady WOW players, October 27th will be hitting us in no time!
