It’s been some time since the last PlayStation State of Play showcase. The last one was in August of 2020, providing us joyous announcements such as Spelunky 2 and Hitman 3. Now, the Sony run showcase event returns for 2021, debuting in just a few days’ time. The news comes fresh from a PlayStation blogpost.
Promising to be near 30 minutes in length, keen gamers can expect to see quite a number of titles in the showcase. “New updates and deep dives for 10 games coming to PS4 and PS5,” have been promised while fresh updates on third party and indie titles from the June PlayStation 5 event will also be present. Some expectations have also been tampered. Sony have stated not to expect any hardware or business-focused updates in the show. Sorry, no more word on the second PlayStation VR just yet.
It’s all set to kick off on Friday. The times for Australian audiences are as follows:
–Sydney/Melbourne: 9AM AEDT
–Adelaide: 8:30AM ACDT
–Brisbane: 8:00AM AEST
–Darwin: 7:30AM ACST
–Perth: 6:00AM AWST
It’s no doubt all eyes will be on Sony and PlayStation later this week for the State of Play event. Are you keen? What are you hoping to see at the showcase?
