Cult of the Lamb developers Massive Monster can’t be accused of not keeping its word. After promising that the studio will “add sex to the game” if it reached 300K followers on Twitter/X, Massive Monster has confirmed that the so-called “sex update” for Cult of the Lamb, called Sins of the Flesh, is set for release next year after succeeding in its goal.
Oof, that only took 2 hours 🥹
Looks like we are adding Sex to Cult of the Lamb. 🥵💦
Let's aim for the very beginning of 2024! https://t.co/Fqc6ZYqtII pic.twitter.com/H5N5ElSpMc

Once the studio surged past 400K followers within two hours of the post, let alone the end of the year, Massive Monster posted a jokey tweet changing the “sexInGame” variable from False to True. The Sins of the Flesh update will be “packed with new features, stories, and more!“, according to the developers. In a post on Steam, Massive Monster stated that “We have been working extremely hard on this update, and there is so much more content coming to the game! We’d like to give a special shoutout for all the players who have shown Cult of the Lamb so much support and love so far – thank you!”
Cult of the Lamb has done well for itself so far, with sterling review scores and strong sale figures. The game has already seen free post-launch updates and limited events in the form of the Blood Moon Festival update and a collaboration with Don’t Starve. Sins of the Flesh will be a free update, as per the announcement post. We will have to await more information as it nears its planned release period of early 2024.
